Karl’s art is driven by experiments with natural and artificial materials and textures, splashing their terroir into the sterile exhibition halls. Coincidence and chance are fundamental for Karl as an experimental artist when combining materials. His world is as multi-material as modern lives, amongst others he works with corroded metal, wood, natural minerals, mixed media and unique techniques too. His exploratory art has a rich world of details, as the chosen materials expand the possibilities of new structures, layers, and surfaces. From his subconscious, Karl can liberate energies that come alive in his gesture-painting, with the bursting of life. A life that we can observe from birth to its death through his art.
